Blurb:
“I hate that I love you,” she said. “You left me.” “I lost you, there’s a difference. Now that I found you, I intend to keep you.” Lost. I’d tasted the sweetest fruit of temptation, and I wanted another bite. I had promised myself before, but once wasn’t enough. The savory flavor of her lingered long after I’d lost her. Contending with the pressure to return to the fight, in order to prove myself to my father and the world, I had to let her go. Found. It has been a year. Sofie Vincentia and I had played a dangerous game. For one night, we pretended, only to discover our farce was real. I’d lost her, but I hadn’t stopped searching, hoping for her return. I was used to getting what I wanted, so when she didn’t come to me, I had to go after her. This would be the greatest fight of my life.

I'd love to say I've written for 10,000 hours, and that makes me a pro. But I can't say that. What I can say is I had a story in my head that wouldn't go away. I thought typing it in my computer would be the end of things, but it only led to another story and another. I love reading, so characters in my head isn't something new. What is new is my creation of them. Hope you enjoy my favorites as much as I do. Happy reading! Connect with LB! Blog Tour + Excerpt + Review: Paradise Fought: Abel (Paradise #1) by L.B. Dunbar

Title: Paradise Fought: Abel
Author: L.B. Dunbar
Release Date: Jan 25, 2016
Find on Goodreads

I'm not a fighter.

I was born into a fighting family. As the middle child, I was overlooked in favor of my older brother.

He took the negative attention, too. In comparison, there's nothing special about me.

I’m not as big as Cobra. I’m not as strong as Cobra. He's the alpha.

I'm a beta.

The second son.
The lesser one.
The one never encouraged to fight, never encouraged to do anything, but stay out of my father’s way.

I'm not a lover either - but I wished to be – that’s why I needed her.
I met a girl in the pouring rain.
Sounds cliché, but it's true. It changed everything.
Because of love, I learned to fight.

Betas come second, but in this fight, my story is first.

If I thought I was going to make a speedy getaway, I was wrong. My savior caught up to me, half way down the walk, outside the finance building. He was quick and a large hand wrapped around my upper arm.

“Whoa, sister,” he said, slightly out of breath. “You almost got away from me again.”

“What?” I questioned. I had no idea what he meant: again.

“Never mind,” he muttered, his hand still on me. I looked down at it and he immediately released me. My eyes pinched as I realized I didn’t mind his hand on my skin. There was something nonthreatening about him. He seemed rather innocent, studious, actually. His shirt was buttoned almost to the top and tucked into his pants. The sleeves secure at the cuffs. His jeans were snug and hugged him well. He wore dark rimmed glasses that screamed smart. Brown boots looked too new on his large feet. It was like he had the right parts but the wrong combination.

His blue eyes were soft and easy to look into. They practically spoke to me, but I had no idea what he was saying. His dark hair was disheveled, a bit shaggy, but cool looking. He kind of looked like a pop star, which was a little too sugar sweet for me. His form was questionable. It was hard to tell what kind of body he had under those clothes. He looked rather preppy, like half the guys at this university. I didn’t want to think about it. I’d just sold my soul for another semester.

“So when do you want to do this?” I asked. His blank stare told me he had no idea what I meant.

“Us,” I said, pointing between him and me.

“I…” His voice trailed off as he gawked at me. His expression changed from confusion to shock.

“I didn’t buy you to sleep with you,” he said, a touch of disbelief in his voice. His face turned crimson, then fell. “Why, have you done that before?” It was my turn to be surprised and offended.

I turned on my heels and began stomping away from him. He was too quick and he caught me again. His hand on my arm halted me. This time he didn’t release me when I peered down at his fingers wrapped around my bicep.

“Look. I need help,” he blurted. His face pinked a little, and it was sweet. “I don’t need help with sex. I need help with before.” His tone dropped, and he looked side to side to see if anyone would hear him. I took his meaning.

“You don’t know how to do foreplay?” I questioned in a loud whisper, trying to hide my astonishment. How could anyone have sex and not know a touch of foreplay?

His face pinked again.

“Not that,” he said, sounding like a child. “The flirting. The dating. The…other stuff.”

I was stunned. I stared at him, taking in his features again. He was kind of cute, leaning toward the potential for good looking. He couldn’t possibly need help with this request. The confusion on my face made him speak.

“I don’t know how to flirt.” The words swirled between us.

“I don’t understand.” I didn’t. I didn’t know what he wanted from me.

“I need lessons how to be…cool: with girls. Call it a tutoring session. I need to learn how to be…seen.” His voice took on a touch of sadness. He couldn’t possibly be serious. I continued to stare at him. My mouth might have actually dropped open a bit, and I noticed he was watching my lips. It was a little exciting the way he stared at them. I licked them and his pupils dilated, filling in more black over the blue. His expression changed. Knowingly, he blinked when he realized I was teasing him. His lip quirked up and a dimple showed in his cheek.

“I need to date you,” he blurted. “To learn how to do, what you just did to me.”

Vanity Baker loves a good, clean match, but she's not above playing a little dirty. She's wanted Stack "The Wolf" Hannigan from day one. Stack learned early to stay free of attachments. But with sexy, forthright Vanity, he's the one always left wanting more. Then his troublemaking family comes back into the picture, threatening everything Stack cares about—Vanity included. Suddenly he realizes they're much more than friends with benefits. He's ready to go to the mat for her…but will it be in time to protect the woman who's tamed him for good?

       Excerpt

A hundred times Vanity had thought about this moment, about playing it cool, taking her time.
Being in charge.
Not likely, not now that she finally had Stack in her house, ready, willing, even anxious. He smelled so good, a little like smoke mixed with the chilly night and his own, delicious scent of macho man. She tunneled her fingers into his cool hair. In warmer weather the sun bleached his light brown hair into a dark blond. Now, though, after a recent trim for the wedding, most of the blond was gone. The wind and the fire had left the wavy strands mussed. She loved it.
She loved his incredible body even more.
While he kissed her, she drowned under the feel of him, so tall and strong with fluid muscles that shifted against her. She trailed her hands down to his hard shoulders, then over his strong chest.
Stack freed his mouth and drew her close, her head to his shoulder. One of his hands knotted in her hair, and she felt his heartbeat knocking hard against his ribs.
“Stack?”
“Give me a second.”
But…why? Levering back enough to see him, she started on the buttons to his dress shirt. When she had four of them free, she slipped her hand inside. Crisp body hair teased her palm; his skin was so hot, his chest solid.
“Hold up.” He caught her wrist and kept her still while he sucked in air. “Shower,” he said. “And your arm.”
“Take your clothes off.” She didn’t mind that idea at all. “Then we can shower.”
His rough, strained laugh made her smile.
“I like that.” He touched her mouth. “I like how your smile always twitches into place. One side kicks up first, then the other, almost like you’re trying not to smile but you can’t help yourself.”
An apt description, at least whenever she was around him. He made her happy. She loved talking with him, laughing with him, looking at him.
Loved getting closer to him.
Would love loving him if he’d give her half a chance.
All the fighters were focused on their careers, but Stack, more than the others, had always seemed disinterested in the possibility of a relationship.
And so she’d used underhanded tactics to get him onboard.
“Right here,” she told him, “right now, you could notice things other than my smile.”
Hands on her shoulders, he stepped her back. “Yeah, and I do, believe me.” With some space now between them, he trailed one fingertip over the neckline of her dress, dipping low between her breasts before dropping his hand. “Turn around.”
That husky command curled her toes. “What will you do?”
“Get you out of this dress.”

Series Tour + Excerpt + Giveaway + Review: Released (Caged #3) by Shay Savage

Liam & Tria’s gritty love story concludes in RELEASED!
AVAILABLE NOW
Released (Book Three) Caged Series
Barnes & Noble: http://bit.ly/1D2xeFY

Oblivion is a sweet, sweet place.
No pain. No disturbing thoughts of the past.
No guilt from my recent actions.
Deep down, there is still a part of me that knows how screwed up I am.
I don’t see a way out, not now.
Tria’s gone, and the possibility of her forgiving me in my current state is exactly zero.
I know I have to pull myself together, accept my responsibilities, and try to make amends, but I have no idea where to start.
No job. No apartment.
I’m living on the streets with the other junkies.
As little as I had to offer Tria before, I have nothing to give her now.
The only way out is to come clean and tell Tria the truth about my past, but the idea of reliving the memories is so painful, I can’t think about it long enough to figure out a solution.
I’ve hit rock bottom, and I don’t even know which way is up any more.

I watched Yolanda walk out of the cage.  Apparently, I kept looking in her direction too long.  I took a blow to the head before I realized the fight had started.
I stumbled back, shook my head, and regained my footing.  I raised my fists up in front of my face, and danced lightly on my toes, waiting for his next move.  We circled slowly, jabbing but not finding our marks.  My head swam again.
I needed to put an end to this.  I needed to get it over with so I could take my winnings and get more smack.  I had come down too hard and too fast.  I had to get straight again.
I rushed him, striking out with my right and then my left.  I took an elbow to the face, and felt my neck snap back.
The next thing I knew, I was on my back, and the guy was straddling my chest.  I registered my head being thrown from side to side with punches, but I couldn’t focus enough to get him off me.  I jabbed at his sides, but it was ineffective.
With my head spinning, I slammed my hand against the ground three times.
“Woo hoo!”  The challenger jumped off of me and started running around the small cage.
I could hear cheers, boos, and people screaming at me, but I couldn’t comprehend the words.  I rolled over and pushed myself up before stumbling out of the cage.
“Jesus, Liam!”  Back in the locker room, Yolanda fussed around the cut over my eye and my bloody lip as I tried to push her hands away and get my jeans back on.  “What the hell is wrong with you tonight?”
“Just forget it!” I yelled.  “I need to get going.”
“Oh yeah?  Why’s that?  You got nothing waiting for you at home.”
I pulled my shoulders close together and bit down on the pad of my thumb.  I didn’t remember telling Yolanda about Tria leaving, but apparently I had.  I was afraid to open my mouth now.  I tensed every muscle to keep myself from trembling.  If Yolanda noticed, she’d figure out why.
If she figured it out, she’d stop me.
Is that such a bad thing?
Yes, most definitely.
I couldn’t risk it.  I couldn’t have Yolanda knowing what I was doing and dragging me somewhere to clean up.  She would take back the cash she’d just given me, and I’d be royally fucked.  I couldn’t let that happen.
“I gotta go,” I said again.  I shouldered past her and out the door, ignoring her calls after me.  I didn’t stop at the bar or acknowledge the fans around me as I left.
I took the cash I’d earned to Max and traded it for all the heroin I could get.  I returned to my apartment and banged up.
Bliss.
Everything was perfect.

Bizarre rituals on a remote island in Maine.
My crazy neighbor lying naked in the produce section of a grocery store.
The sting of a knife as it slices through my flesh.
Now I know why they say life is never easy.
The soft touch of Tria’s hand against my chest is the only thing that keeps me going, but there are consequences. As a fighter, I should be able to deal with anything life throws at me, but there is one circumstance I simply can’t handle.
I only have one coping mechanism: a tube around my arm and a needle in my vein.

Excerpt
I felt my body tighten at her touch, and my skin tingled as her fingers moved over my chest and down to my abs.  She took one finger and slid it over the ridge of each muscle.  I caught her under her chin with my fingers and brought her mouth back to mine.
Open mouthed, I moved from her lips, up the line of her jaw, to her ear, and back again.  With my free hand, I crept from her hip up her side, and my thumb stroked the skin of her stomach.  I felt her hand over mine.
I started to pull away, assuming her intent was to tell me to stop, but her grip on my fingers tightened.  Opening my eyes, I looked down at her and watched her tongue dart out over her lips before she slowly pushed my hand upwards.
“You sure?” I breathed, hating myself for even asking the question instead of jumping on the opportunity.  In response, Tria rose up just enough to pull her shirt up over her head.
My cock tried to jump right through the material of my jeans to tit fuck her right there in her bra.
I had to physically restrain myself from the action as she settled back above me on her knees.  The bra itself wasn’t unfamiliar—I’d seen all of her clothes in the drawers before—but having the lacy white material wrapped around her smooth breasts laid out before me was completely different.
I sat up and moved her with me until she was flat on her back on the couch, and I was hovering over her.  I moistened my lips as I gazed down at the pale flesh before me with only a slight curve visible at the top of the lacy front.
As slowly as I could endure, I traced her skin from the edge of the thin strap around her shoulder and down to the mound of flesh against the lace edge.  Barely touching her, I outlined from one edge over the curve, down into the slight dip, and back over again.  My fingertip completed the trek back up to her other shoulder, and then began to make its way down again.
Once it hit the center of the dip again, I fanned out my fingers—still keeping my touch ultra-light—and stroked slowly toward the outside of her breast.  I could feel my own breathing increasing in tempo with hers as I touched her through the thin material.  I mimicked the motion with my other hand and the other breast, leaning in to kiss her shoulder as I moved.
